ENCATC's objectives

ENCATC’s key objectives are:

  • To create a stimulating environment for all institutions and professionals in cultural management and cultural policy wishing to share experience, exchange good practice and build transnational partnerships.
  • To bridge the – perceived – gap between education, training, research and professional practice in cultural management.
  • To embrace the diversity of its members, promoting good practice, stimulating high-quality education and training among members, and encouraging cooperation and partnerships.
  • To establish close cooperative links with cultural managers to further develop theory and cultural management learning that is rooted in practice, and providing a space for reflection and discussion for both teachers and managers.
  • To build creative partnerships with arts and media organisations, and major stakeholders in the area of culture and education.
  • To develop partnerships with other networks worldwide that have similar objectives to those of ENCATC.
