PRESIDENT
Elena Borin, Pegaso Digital University, Naples (Italy)
Elena Borin, PhD in Economics (University of Ferrara, Italy) and Doctor Europeus, is Full Professor in Business Administration and Deputy Dean for International Affairs at Pegaso Digital University. She directs the Excellence Lab on Sustainable Innovation in CCIs, Sectors and Ecosystems and co-directs the Observatory on Sustainability Accounting and Reporting Practices in Cultural and Creative Ecosystems, driving research that connects cultural value, innovation and societal impact. Previously, she led the MSc in Arts and Cultural Management and coordinated the Research Team in Arts and Cultural Management at the Burgundy School of Business. With around 15 years of international teaching and research experience across universities in Italy, France, China, Colombia, Germany and Spain, she brings a global perspective to cultural management education.

VICE-PRESIDENT
Leticia Labaronne, ZHAW School of Management and Law Center for Arts Management (Switzerland)
With an extensive international career in performing arts, Leticia joined the Center for Arts Management at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences in 2009. Hailing from Argentina, she holds a BA in International Studies (UK), an MSc in Public and Nonprofit Management (Switzerland), and a PhD in Cultural Management (Germany). Serving as Director of the Executive Master of Arts Management since 2016 and appointed Head of the Center of Arts Management at ZHAW in 2019, Leticia oversees a team of researchers and collaborates with scholars and practitioners on research projects and executive education. Recently appointed Professor for Arts Management with full tenure, her expertise encompasses various aspects of arts and cultural organization management, including financing, funding strategies, performance measurement, evaluation, and cultural policy. Leticia is a Board Member of ENCATC since 2021.

VICE-PRESIDENT
Ana Zuvela, IRMO - Institute for Development and International Relations (Croatia)
Ana is a Research Assistant at IRMO in Zagreb, Croatia. Her work integrates academic research with applied analyses in the fields of culture, cultural policy, cultural planning, and the role of culture in broader social and political contexts. Graduating from the University of Central England as a concert pianist, Ana pursued MA studies in cultural policy and arts management at the University College Dublin. She earned her PhD at the University of Zadar, focusing on decentralization and participatory governance practices in Croatia. Ana's professional journey involves numerous research projects and collaborations with international, national, and local entities, including the European Parliament, UN, UNESCO, Foundation Kultura nova, Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media, and various local administrations in Croatia and abroad.

TREASURER
Douglas DeNatale, Boston University (USA)
Douglas has forged a diverse career in cultural management across the United States, spanning the public and non-profit sectors. Holding an M.A. from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Folklore and Folklife from the University of Pennsylvania, his dissertation explored vernacular culture's role in labor relations within a southern US textile mill village. As Director of Research and Technology at the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) from 1994 to 2000, he pioneered early creative economy research in the U.S. Subsequently, as Deputy Director of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Douglas transitioned to launching a successful consulting practice in arts research. Joining Boston University’s Arts Administration Program in 2014, he became Program Director in 2019. His recent focus centers on researching the post-pandemic career outcomes of cultural managers in the Boston region.

SECRETARY
Toni-Matti Karjalainen, Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki (Finland)
Toni-Matti works as Professor of Arts Management and Head of Doctoral Programme and Research unit in Sibelius Academy at the University of the Arts Helsinki. He is also a member of the Sibelius Academy Board. He holds the title of Docent in Music Management and Culture Export at Aalto University in Finland. He has been a visiting professor, speaker, lecturer, supervisor and researcher in various countries. He holds a Doctor of Arts degree in Art and Design, M.Sc. in Economics, and he has produced over 100 academic publications ranging from design, branding and product development to popular music and arts management – managing numerous research projects in a wide variety of areas, from consumer products to design and technology, and further to cultural products. He has also participated as a member in various advisory and executive boards, ranging from research projects to organisations and international networks.

BOARD MEMBER
Matina Magkou, Université Côte d'Azur (France)
Matina Magkou is a researcher, lecturer, and consultant specialising in cultural and creative industries, cultural policy, and international cultural cooperation. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Université Côte d’Azur at the GREDEG research laboratory, while previously she held a research post at SicLab at the same university. She holds a PhD from the University of Deusto on the evaluation of cultural cooperation projects and has taught at several universities in Europe and beyond. Her academic career includes visiting research positions at the Brussels School of Governance (VUB, 2023–2024) and as a Fulbright Schuman Scholar at New York University and Carnegie Mellon' University Heinz College (2024). Matina has extensive professional experience in festivals, theatre productions, and major international events, as well as within public institutions such as the European Parliament, the Greek Ministry of Education and the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency. As a consultant, she has collaborated with European and international cultural networks and organisations on research, evaluation, and project development. She is co-founder of KOΛΕΚΤΙVA for culture and social innovation, one of the two experts on Greece for the Compendium on Cultural Policies and Trends and member of the European Expert Network for Culture.

BOARD MEMBER
Gerald Lidstone, Goldsmiths, University of London (United Kingdom)
Gerald is a Research and Knowledge Exchange Fellow for the Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) at Goldsmiths University of London. He was a founder and director of ICCE until 2024, He was the founder of the MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy, now established for more than 30 years. Gerald created and ran a MA in cultural industries in Abu Dhabi for three years and worked for over twelve years on behalf of The Ministry of Culture and Information in Viet Nam establishing Arts Management education in Hanoi University of Culture, funded by the Ford Foundation, he was awarded the national medal for culture in Viet Nam. In the last five years he led on a partnership of Creative Spark in Uzbekistan. For the British Council and other agencies, he has taught Arts Management courses in over 20 countries. Gerald holds 3 honorary doctorates and was ENCATC President from 2020-25.
