Editoral Board Nominations 2018

On 14 May, the call for nominations for the next Editorial Board Members of the ENCATC Journal of Cultural Management and Policy was officially opened.

Open Call for ENCATC Editorial Board of the ENCATC Journal

  • DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 22 JUNE AT MIDNIGHT (Brussels time)

The Editorial Board of the ENCATC Journal will consist of 7 members of which 2 are nominated by the ENCATC Board and 3 by the ENCATC members through this open call for nominations. The two institutional members of the Editorial Board are the President and a board member responsible for research activities acting also as the Editor in Chief. All positions are voluntary.

The ENCATC Journal of Cultural Management and Policy is overseen by an international Editorial Board and it is now seeking candidates to serve in the position of Editorial Board Member. ENCATC Journal of Cultural Management and Policy counts with globally recognised experts as members of its Editorial Board who contribute to the development of the editorial process of the Journal, safeguard its quality and ensure that it meets the highest academic standards. The Member term is for 2 years, with the possibility of reappointment to one additional term.

ENCATC members are welcome to nominate a scholar for the Editorial Board, either him/herself or his/her colleague (who can also be Non-ENCATC members). 

REQUIREMENTS

The nominees for the Editorial Board should meet the following requirements:

Basic Requirements

  1. The nominee must hold doctoral degree, or be Professor of an accredited academic institution;
  2. The nominee must have profound experience in his/her research field;
  3. The research field of the nominee must conform to the scope of ENCATC Journal.

Professional Requirements

  1. Possess high level academic publications and international reputation;
  2. Possess a strong command of the English language;
  3. Possess a high level of experience with the peer review process of academic journals;
  4. Possess commitment to the ethical principles guiding academic journal publishing.

Editorial Requirements

  1. Agree to advise the Editor in Chief on matters of journal development
  2. Agree to review and return manuscripts in a timely manner;
  3. Agree to help identify peer reviewers and provide second opinions on papers;
  4. Agree to encourage article submissions to the journal his/her network of colleagues and contacts;
  5. Agree to be present at 2018 ENCATC Annual Congress 26-29th of September 2018 in Bucharest for the first Editorial Board meeting.

HOW TO MAKE A NOMINATION

ONLY ENCATC members may complete the online Nomination Form by 22 June 2018 by midnight (Brussels time).

SCHEDULE OF NOMINATIONS & VOTING

  • 14th of May 2018: Call for nominations opens
  • 22nd of June 2018: Extended deadline for nominations
  • 30th of June 2018: Deadline for checking the eligibility of nominees
  • 15th of July 2018: Deadline for voting the nominees
  • 16th of July 2018: Announcement of the new Editorial Board
  • 27th of September 2018: First meeting of the new Editorial Board in Bucharest during the 2018 ENCATC Annual Congress
