2021 ENCATC Academy on Cultural Relations

Pedro Affonso Ivo Franco is a Brazilian, Berlin-based percussionist, consultant and researcher working across the cultural, creativity and development sectors. Holding a MA in International Relations and Cultural Diplomacy from Furtwangen University, Germany, Pedro travels the world teaching the rhythms of the Maracatu, a Brazilian Cultural Heritage. As a consultant, Pedro works mainly in African, Latin American and European contexts offering systemic change-facilitation, strategy and planning, capacity bridging, evaluation and training services. Pedro is currently co-coordinating the research project "Impacts of COVID-19 in the Brazilian cultural and creative sectors", a partnership between Unesco Brasil, the University of São Paulo (USP), SESC, Forum of Brazilian States Secretaries of Culture.
