About this event
From 19-22 October, ENCATC welcomed more than 125 participants from over 35 countries online to learn from leading experts, explore common questions and look for common answers around the 2021 theme "Artists in the spotlight! In search of new agendas for education and research in the cultural management and policy field".
Responding to the needs of the sector, the theme during the Digital Congress’ dynamic online programme which was designed around 7 key elements: the Opening Session and Round Table, the Global Conversation, an interdisciplinary Policy Round Table, the Bauhaus Debate, the Annual Education and Research Session, the ENCATC Fellowship Award Ceremony, and the ENCATC Research Award Ceremony.
After the live event ended on 21 October, the Congress digital platform's "Participants Reserved Area" remains accessible for hours of video content and with useful resources.
The main event was preceded by two pre-Congress activities, organized in order to reach the next generation of cultural managers and actors of the wider cultural and creative ecosystem: the Young and Emerging Researchers’ Forum and the Cultural Policy and Management Emerging Professionals’ and Students’ Forum, both held on 18 October. On this occasion leading experts shared with participants their knowledge as well as new ways and avenues to internationalise their careers.
