STUDY VISIT 1: Tour of The High Line (DRESS WARMLY)

Meeting point: Street Level 16th Street & 10th Avenue

Discussion on the history, mission and operations of The High Line.

STUDY VISIT 2: The Whitney Museum 

Address: 99 Gansevoort Street

Learn more about community affairs management and visitor experiences to be followed by time to tour the museum and have lunch - at participants' own expense.

STUDY VISIT 3: David Zwirner Gallery 

Address: 533 West 19th Street

On the occasion of the gallery's 25th anniversary it will have a special exhibition "David Zwirner: 25 Years" celebrating the artists who have shaped the gallery's programme since its founding in 1993. The exhibition features artworks by the gallery's artists, including significant historical work, alongside new and never-before-seen works commissions specially for the occasion. On view across all of the gallery's Chelsea spaces in New York (519, 525, & 533 West 19th Street and 537 West 20th Street.

STUDY VISIT 5:  “New York at its Core,” Museum of the City of New York 

Address: 5th Avenue and 103rd Street

Tour and discussion about the museum's programs, including exhibitions, public programs, and publications. After the tour and talks, there will be additional time to see "Art in the Open: Fifty Years of Public Art in New York" at the MCNY.

STUDY VISIT 6: The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET)

Address: 5th Avenue and 82nd Street >>> Meeting point: Enter through main staircase of the building to meet in the main hall near the left cloakroom. 

Discuss international outreach and city diplomacy at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

16:00 - 17:30

After the tour, there will be additional time to see the remaining exhibitions at The Metropolitan Museum.

STUDY VISIT 10: 9/11 Memorial Museum

Address: 180 Greenwich Street

Talk about how to build public programs around sensitive topics with a reluctant local audience.
