Community Development through Creative Action

Alexandra Rigler is an architect and cultural manager, initiator and collaborator in numerous projects from the cultural and creative sector in Timișoara (Romania). Alexandra currently works in the public sector, as director of the Center for Projects of the Timișoara Municipality, a public service which gives the community access to resources and consolidates the capacity of the people and organisations active in culture, education, youth, civic action, sports and environment. The Center for Projects is also the implementing body of the Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture project. She has been active in the team of the Timișoara Architecture Biennial Beta, where she coordinated the 2020 edition, in the Territorial Council of the Romanian Order of Architects – Timiș Branch, in the expert committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space, and in various other teams and platforms (F O R, FABER, Creativa, În comunitate, De-a Arhitectura).
