Dr. Mari Kobayashi is a Professor at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology and at the Policy Alternatives Research Institute, The University of Tokyo. She is teaching cultural policy and cultural management in Department of Cultural Resources Studies. She consults many local authorities about institutional design making cultural policy plan and ordinance of cultural promotion. She is the president of Japan Association for Cultural Policy Research. She is also a national committee member of UNESCO in Japan.
