Leslie's career has spanned the public, non profit and private sectors, with an exceptional track record in strategy and marketing, economic development, cultural programming and public private partnerships. From her tenure at Microsoft in the early 1990s through her leadership of the transformation of Governors Island, Leslie has been known as an innovator, an executive with equal focus on vision and execution and a creative collaborator. 
Her skills include fundraising, communications, strategy, public speaking, organizational leadership and complex project management. She received national recognition for her unique approach to public involvement, programming and inclusive design during her tenure leading Governors Island.

She now serves as an independent advisor to philanthropists and others on public-private partnerships in public space and culture.
