The ENCATC Members Talk on 30 April 2021 from 14:30-15:30 (CEST) focused on "The New European Bauhaus initiative: Design as solution to the challenge of Sustainability and Aesthetics".  Members of ENCATC, AAAE, and TACPS were invited to join this Talk that aimed to foster the co-creation of new projects and the development of new ideas thinking outside the box!

The New European Bauhaus movement was launched on 18 January 2021 by the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. It is meant to explore how to live better together; make the Green Deal a positive, tangible experience for people; connect people from different professions and backgrounds and weave different perspectives and cultures; move beyond “form follows function”, factoring in the planet and social purposes; support the development of lead markets in sustainability;  and make the EU think and deliver “out of the box”.

ENCATC also wishes to actively contribute to the development of this important movement by different means and activities including the Members Talks. In particular, ENCATC will regularly offer to the Bauhaus labeled initiatives a platform to address a global audience as well as to  ENCATC members and partners a space to present best practices and new initiatives in line with the philosophy of the movement.
