Global Conversations: International Initiatives on the Local Level: An Examination by AAAE and ENCATC

Organised in partnership with the Association of Arts Administration Educators, AAAE, this international panel will take place during AAAE's Annual Conference from 1-3 June 2018. The event will bring together cultural management educators from Europe and North America to investigate opportunities and challenges to cooperate between these world regions.
On 1 June, the joint panel session “International Initiatives on the Local Level: An Examination by AAAE and ENCATC” will explore what members from both networks are doing to connect their students to the world.
The panel will tackle issues such as theory and philosophy of the educational programmes, objectives, methodologies, relationships with the sector and society, employability and others. Numerous informal networking opportunities will further enhance possibilities for exchange and collaboration.
This panel is part of the 2018 AAAE Annual Conference gathering participants from America, Europe and Asia. The aim is to increase cooperation by comparing and contrasting cultural management programmes in Europe and North America to reinforce cooperation among two major cultural management networks: ENCATC and the Association of Arts Administration Educators.
