PART I - THEORY

We will begin with and explanation of the Hofstede method. In every culture, we shall see what is the attitude towards power and authority (1), what is the autonomy of a person (2), what is the attitude towards success (3) and what is the attitude towards uncertainty (4). This method allows comparing fundamental values differences, and opens a door to a new understanding. We will understand how  “strange” we all are for other “strangers”.

11:00 - 11:30

Coffee Break

11:30 - 12:30

PART II - WORKSHOP TO EXERCISE THE METHOD

Once we have integrated the method, it becomes relatively easy to understand how strange we can be seen. In this workshop we will understand how to adapt our communication and make ourselves more clear to others; therefore understanding the essential needs to manage an international team. We shall together exercise this method with example brought by the audience (staff management, communication, empowerment)
