When artistic co-creation becomes a tool for inclusion

Brussels

A musical evening featuring a roundtable and discussion to present the European project UCREATE, aiming to promote intercultural dialogue and social cohesion, and a solo concert by the cellist Matthieu Saglio, IYMF Ambassador.

To close the year 2022  on a high note and celebrate together with our Brussels based community the start of the Christmas season, GiannaLia Cogliandro Beyens (ENCATC) in partnership with Gudrun Heymans (Creative Europe Desk Flanders) and ENCATC member,  Marianne Poncelet (Yehudi Menuhin International Foundation), cordially invite you the concert of the cellist Matthieu Saglio, IYMF Ambassador, who combines classical tradition where Cello Solo's roots are buried, with sounds and rhythms brought from his encounters across the world

This beautiful artistic performance is organized in the frame of the European project UCREATE, aiming to promote intercultural dialogue and social cohesion of newcomers and young individuals at risk of social exclusion through co-creation processes. With this important project coming to an end, ENCATC is proud to offer a platform to 4 European artistic organizations based in Hungary (MUS-E), Italy (Big Sur), Portugal (Hangar) and Belgium (International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation) to raise awareness on the very important topic migration represents nowadays and how culture can play a key role to mitigate social exclusion.

The roundtable and discussion will be followed by a solo concert of the cellist Matthieu Saglio, IYMF Ambassador, and by a small reception.
