University of Antwerp (BE): On 13 December, ENCATC member Avril Joffe from the University of the Witwatersrand will be a guest speaker at the UAntwerp. Download the invitation and register here.

University of Antwerp (BE): The 12th International Conference on Cultural Policy Research (ICCPR) is taking place from 19-22 September 2022 at the University of Antwerp. A call for proposals is currently open. The abstract submission deadline is 28 February 2022.

University of Antwerp (BE): With its "Thesis Prize Cultural Management & Cultural Policy", the Fund for Cultural Management of the University of Antwerp annually awards a prize for a master's thesis or doctoral study in cultural management. Deadline: 1 April 2022

University of Jyväskylä, (FI): call for papers is open for the ethnology and cultural policy conference 'Cultural Knowledge in a Changing World', to be held at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, in March 2022. (Deadline: 15 December 2021)

Pôle Patrimoine- Pays de la Loire (FR): Dans le cadre du groupe de travail Jeunes-Pros du Pôle Patrimoine, l’association propose une mission de stage de cinq à six mois à partir de février 2022 pour la mise en œuvre des actions à destination des futurs professionnels du patrimoine. Deadline: 6 December 2021

Goethe Institut (DE): How has the Goethe Institute's hosting changed throughout history and what does the language and cultural work of the future look like? Listen to President Carola Lentz in a speech on the 70th anniversary of the Goethe Institute.

Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (DE):  Register to attend the "Where do I belong? – Panel Discussion on the restitution of cultural artefacts" taking place online on 22 December 2021. Colonial looted art has been in European museums for decades. For almost as long, the countries of origin have been struggling to repatriate them. It was not until 2018 that the discussion gained momentum on the initiative of French President Emmanuelle Macron. What is the state of affairs in Germany in this regard? 

Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (DE): The international and transdisciplinary Network Brokering Intercultural Exchange is hosting its Annual Gathering on February 17, 2022 at 2 pm CET online. A call for papers can be found here. Deadline: 20 December 2021

Melting Pro (IT): MeltingPro is part of "Future Ability", a European project financed by the Erasmus+ program. This project investigates how visual methods have been used in the higher education sectors with the aim of providing strategies that could tackle the difficulties faced by institutions in distant learning. This aim will be achieved firstly through research activities that reveal how higher education institutions have moved online during covid and how visual methods have been and could be used in teaching practices and methodology. The survey has an approximate duration of 10 minutes and during the compilation, you will ask for some information on your teaching approaches (before and during covid) with a specific focus on visual methods." Take the survey here.

Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture (ES): Espronceda is holding a group within the Erasmus+ project "Empowerment social inclusion groups through creativity and cultural works" online next 15 December.  The aim of the focus group is to analyse from a political, economic and sociological point of view, the situation of artists in Europe, especially those who belong to socially excluded categories, to offer visions, ideas and possible future solutions for the elaboration of a recovery plan. Main topics include: Digitalization; Empowerment of artists conditions from a social, legal, and fiscal points of view; Economical measures (how to improve the economic measures to increase the local and national budget as it appears that still low budgets among other sectors); New model of cooperation to include artists in the decision process and implement the social and cohesion policies in the short and long period; and the Role of education. DEADLINE for participation: 5 December 2021.  CONTACT: savina[@]espronceda.net and alessia[@]espronceda.net
