Open Access Policy, Licensing, and Rights and Archiving

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

The European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy publishes fully open access journals, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. This is in accordance to the Budapest Open Access Initiative. Online free gold open access is provided to the journal and all of its research publications. 

LICENSING

Open Access funder and institutional mandates: The is fully compliant with open access mandates, by publishing its articles under the  (CC-BY). Funder mandates such as those by the Wellcome Trust (UK), National Institutes of Health (USA) and the Australian Research Council (Australia) are fully compatible with publishing in the . Authors retain copyright of their work and can deposit their publication in any repository. The work can be freely shared and adapted provided that appropriate credit is given and any changes specified.

RIGHTS AND ARCHIVING

Authors retain copyright for their work, but they give ENCATC the right to circulate it among ENCATC members, stakeholders and the scientific community. ENCATC allows authors to self-archive the post-print version of the text on personal websites and in institutional and thematic repositories as long as they respect the open access policy. The journal is stored and preserved on our publisher's (Frontiers) servers.

Under the Conditions for Website Use and the General Conditions for Authors, authors of articles published in the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy retain copyright on their articles, except for any third-party images and other materials added by the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy, which are subject to copyright of their respective owners. Authors are therefore free to disseminate and re-publish their articles, subject to any requirements of third-party copyright owners and subject to the original publication being fully cited. 

Visitors may also download and forward articles subject to the citation requirements and subject to any fees the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy’s publisher, Frontiers, may charge for downloading licenses. The ability to copy, download, forward or otherwise distribute any materials is always subject to any copyright notices displayed. Copyright notices must be displayed prominently and may not be obliterated, deleted or hidden, totally or partially
