Having had the opportunity of being ENCATCs communications trainee has truly provided me with an exceptional amount knowledge and experience, both professionally and personally. Due to COVID regulations working from home was mandatory throughout my whole traineeship. Consequently, I never met any ENCATC staff members in person. Nonetheless, I still felt valued and part of the team. Through my time at ENCATC I got the opportunity to understand the importance of a European Network with global connections and the ins and outs of advocacy and governance work. Being part of a small international team gave me the opportunity to immerse myself fully in the organization and given me an in-depth understanding of cultural management and policy. This experience has prepared me for my future by equipping me with the majority of the soft and hard skills I now possess.
